Pottery as a way of life

Our mission is to enhance self-care and creativity through clay and nature.

Our vision is to provide a safe space for customers (of all ages) to wind down and take a break from the hectic city life and social pressures that we all face day-to-day, using clay as the subject of focus. Other than that, we aim to provide a creative home environment for children or anyone who wants to create with clay in general!

We also aim to become a platform for young artists to build their own artist identity here at Palm Pottery studio. Portfolio preparations for universities or post university projects are welcome here! Our goal is to create a community where we can express our artistic selves, share experience and our creativity together.

We believe that pottery can be used as a practice of well being. It enables us to explore our abilities, patience and diligence. This activity is a way to channel our energies into something constructive, using our focus to create and transform our anger/stress into beauty. It is another channel to explore ourselves and learn about what we have neglected within us. Through making pottery, many have learnt to be more patient, diligent and learn how to see beauty in mistakes and being more flexible with each result. Not only do we create pieces of art from it, but we can create functional products to accommodate our lifestyle, adding more value to our lives. In this world of following trends and being 'the same', we believe in the importance self expression, being true to yourself and becoming your own person. Clay is an amazing medium. Pottery is one of the only crafts that uses all of the earths elements; earth, water, wind and fire, to create the final piece. This makes pottery one of the most natural and ancient forms of craft you can experience. There is still so much to explore with clay, the variety of uses it brings shows endless possibilities of innovative creations in our future. This also reflects our growth as humans, which is what makes this craft so authentically beautiful.
